Facebook Post 3

I know with the recent news of the Supreme Court ruling affirming same sex marriage (gay rights) has caused a lot of national and international attention, conversation and controversy. Literally, people have been talking about it over their morning coffee, lunch break, dinner table, and social media channels. Am I right? So… my question this week to you as a Christian woman is, “Where do you stand on the issue of homosexuality?” Are you for it or against it?

Are you for it if a friend of yours is gay or lesbian? Are you for it if you have a family member who openly admitted to being a homosexual? Or are you for it, because you feel as though it is totally up to each individual to make that decision for him or herself? Honestly, where do you stand?

Now here’s the BIGGEST question this week, “Did you change your Facebook profile picture to support the ruling or to show some form of support in any way, whether through social media or conversation?” If so, “What made you do it?”

In either case, I want to share something with you from Romans 12:2 which says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.” (KJV) So….did you conform to this world in regards to the ruling or resist it? Did you prove that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God?

I also want to share with you that if you supported it in any way, 1 Thessalonians 5:22 says, “Abstain from all appearance of evil.” I would say “ALL” is a key word here. One version says, “Flee the appearance of evil.” Meaning run from it! As Christians, we need to be careful to live a blameless life, especially those who are teachers and preachers of the Gospel message (Philippians 2:15 & Psalm 101:2).

And I say all of this to say, this is sooooooo not the time to go soft for ANY reason or for ANY stance against God’s Word. Homosexuality is an abomination to the Lord, which is detestable (See Leviticus 20:13). Most people know this. But unfortunately today, many Christians are open to supporting it to some degree in the name of "love" and the "don't judge" syndrome. This is not about judging people. Yet, it’s really about standing on the side of truth and not being deceived in this last hour.

Jesus Christ is coming back soon and we have to stay ready. There's no time for compromise right now. If you haven’t noticed already, we are living in the end times (the last days). Without a doubt, I strongly believe that we are a chosen generation to see the return of Jesus Christ (See 1 Corinthians 15:51-52). The signs are very evident.

BUT before that day happens this is what the Bible says will take place prior to the Lord’s Second Coming in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, “Let no man deceive you by any means; for that day shall not come, except there be a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.” (KJV). The son of perdition is the Antichrist. The Two-State Solution (the peace treaty is another one of the signs on the horizon-research it and read the Scriptures for yourself).

*Listen. What makes this recent ruling and these times so important in our day is what Daniel 11:37 states, “Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.” (KJV) The Antichrist will not have a desire for women. The ironic thing about this is that I was told a long time ago by my pastor that the Antichrist will have the spirit of homosexuality. That was over 10 years ago and here we are now with this ruling! There is an agenda here. I hope you’re paying attention. Because things are being put into motion right now for his unveiling.

This nation is turning into Sodom and Gomorrah right before our very eyes and most of us know what happened with that city. God is NOT asleep. So neither should we be. Deception is here and it is only going to get stronger and stronger. Don’t start being deceived. Don’t start getting weak as it relates to righteousness and following the crowd. Jesus warns us to stay sober, alert, and wise in the last days prior to His Second Coming. We are to be set apart (different). So keep the oil in your lamp, stay ready, and don’t be deceived! (Read Matthew 25:1-13)

Now, before I close this post I need to say that I am totally aware that Jesus loves the sinner. But I am also totally aware that He does not love the sin. We can’t forget what He told the adulterous woman who was about to be stoned to death because of her sexual immorality. Jesus said, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?’ ‘No, Lord,’ she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.” I am not here to condemn anyone, but I am here to echo that change must take place.

And the reason being is because 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 says, “Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people – none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.” (NLT) Homosexuality was one of the sins stated here in the Bible. So don’t take my word for it. It’s written in the New Testament.

But the word also says to those who have turned away from these sins (meaning, repented of them and asked God’s forgiveness), “Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:11- NLT).

There is hope. If you are reading this post and you’re in a homosexual relationship or struggle with homosexual thoughts due to pornography or someone introducing it to you in any way, I urge you to surrender your thoughts, actions, and even your life to Christ completely. Let Him cleanse you before it’s too late, because He is coming back again swiftly. Tell Him these words from Psalm 51:10, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

Once you have done this, know that you have been forgiven and then walk in this newness of life. And if you have never accepted Christ into your heart, confess with your mouth and believe that He is Lord, and that He died for your sins on a cross at Calvary, repent of your sins and ask His forgiveness. He will cleanse you and make you whole. It’s a choice. And a very good one! I pray that you will do it.

Lastly, to my fellow Christian sister reading this post today. Personally, I refused to change my profile picture to reflect anything against God and His word (even the appearance of it). I won’t give the enemy room for that. But wherever you stand on this issue, I pray that you’re completely on the right side (which is God’s side) and without compromise in any way, shape, or form. We have to learn to pray and witness Christ to homosexuals that we encounter in our communities and beyond. It’s not enough to just talk about them or only love them without saying a word. Sometimes saying nothing means that you’re in agreement with them.

Their soul is hanging in the balance and YOU and I can be the ones to help. So let’s be bold with wisdom, do our part, and love them by talking to them (as the Holy Spirit leads), intercede for them, and share Jesus and God’s original plan. This is love. And if they receive us…great, but if not, then we can pray for them and live as we should. I stand with Joshua in the Bible when he said, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15) Where do you stand?

Remember, Jesus is coming back soon! And those who endure unto the end shall be saved. So let’s be ready from the Inside Out!
