I know sometimes this is not an easy thing to do, but it’s so necessary for the season you’re in. You have to know that God is for you and with you. He will never fail you. He can be trusted as He puts all the pieces together in your life. Your only job right now is to keep trusting Him.

I have a piece of word art on my desk that reads, “The key to success is following God’s guidance.” What this means is that when we obey God and His instruction, we will have success in whatever we do. Now, granted, sometimes it may not look like success right away. But that’s when you have to believe that He is God and that He is working it all out for your good.

Romans 8:28 reassures us saying, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” It’s all going to work out for your good sis, because you’ve got a purpose and because you love God. Yet, in the midst of all of that, it’s important to also know that you’ve got to continue trusting and obeying Him no matter how things appear.

I remember going to a women’s conference where the speaker said a lot of things, but the one thing that stood out to me the most was when she said, “An obedient life is a blessed life.” That was so powerful to me! So much so, that I wrote it on my dream board in my home office. God wants to bless our socks off! Especially, when we are obedient.

The reason being is because it shows that we are walking in faith and that we love Him…even though we may not be able to see all that He’s doing at the moment. Faith is so crucial when we can’t see the picture of our lives clearly. Yet, when activated, it actually helps to keep the hope up! Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” So even when you can’t see, keep your faith going and know that God is still in control.

Here are a few practical tips on how to keep trusting God right where you are…

  • Surround yourself with “trust” Scriptures and meditate and memorize them
  • Pay attention to the signs that God has already given you and hold onto them
  • Go to your prayer closet when your faith is shaken and talk to God about where you are
  • Read a book on “Trusting God” to strengthen your faith
  • Purchase some “word art” and have it everywhere (i.e. plaque, picture, stand, coffee mug, etc.)
  • Pick a song about trusting God to encourage you when you get a little discouraged

Listen, sis. I don’t know where you are at this point in your life, but I want to encourage you to keep trusting God. Know that He knows the plans that He has for you as Jeremiah 29:11 states. Believe it! He’s right there to help you, to nudge you in the right direction, and to show you exactly what your next steps should be for the season you’re in. Just keep trusting Him, because He will come through for you.

Remember, Jesus is coming back soon! And those who endure unto the end shall be saved. So let’s be ready from the Inside Out!
