What are you waiting in faith for, sis? I’d love to know and hear from you about it. Are you waiting for a godly husband? Are you waiting on a new job or promotion? How about a new ministry or business to take off? Or maybe it’s salvation for your child, family member, boss, co-worker or friend. Maybe you’re waiting in faith for God to move on your behalf in some way.

Spiritually, for me, I’m waiting in faith for larger platforms to share the gospel, encourage, and equip the body of Christ with God’s word. Because when I look at Jesus’ life, He ministered to people one-on-one, small crowds, large crowds, and He also discipled 12 people (a small group). My heart’s desire is to experience them all (Psalm 37:4). How about you? What’s your spiritual heart’s desire? What are you waiting in faith for spiritually?

Personally, at the time of this writing, I’m waiting in faith to build our third home. I was about to say my dream home, but that one is my mansion in heaven. I’m looking forward to that one, for sure! But for now, having a brand new place where I can not only dwell with my family, but also fulfill the vision to open up my home for more hospitality, small groups, dinner parties, have my own personal studio/office to create beautiful teaching videos (without having to rent office space), and a place where my kids’ friends can come by for a few splashes (swimming pool)! I’m waiting in faith, sis! 😉 Your turn. What are you waiting for in faith, personally?

I want to say here that if you’re waiting on God to open up new doors for you, live while you wait. For instance, speaking for myself, while I’m waiting for bigger platforms to share the Word and build our new home, I’m going to continue to live out my passion for sharing the gospel, encouraging the body of Christ, and equipping women to do what they’re called to do right where I am. I’m also still going to open my current home for hospitality (while I imagine the great possibilities of the new one), host small groups, and have my kids’ friends over - even without the splashes. These are things that are simply the desires of my heart. But I’m going to live and enjoy my life along the way. And I encourage you to do the same.

Because here’s the reality. What if we don’t get the things that we’re waiting for? I really hope and pray that we do, but what if we don’t? What if the healing doesn’t come? What if someone wanting to get married doesn’t get married? What if someone decides not to accept the beautiful gift of salvation that you’ve been hoping and praying for? Will you still believe that God is a very loving God who cares about all that concerns you?

We have to understand that He is sovereign and that He knows what’s best, ultimately. He sees far beyond what we can see. He sees the bigger picture.

For instance, when I prayed for the Lord to enlarge my territory several years ago, I had no idea that He was going to do it by way of Hurricane Katrina (where we lost everything, including our home). I had no idea that He was going to move me to the second largest state in America…Texas. He truly ENLARGED my territory. And even though I had no idea how He was going to do it, I never would’ve imagined that way or Texas.

Again, He sees the bigger picture. His plans are bigger than ours. He knows the overall outcome. He’s God. And remember, all things work together for good, to those who love God, and who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). So continue to wait in faith, my sister. Even if He doesn’t answer quite the way you’ve wanted. Trust that Father knows what’s best and that He’s got you covered in every way.

Remember, Jesus is coming back soon! And those who endure unto the end shall be saved. So let’s be ready from the Inside Out!
