If you are, then I want to kick start this post by telling you, “Don’t stop believing God for it.” When He tells you something, promises you something, or places that thing deep within your heart, no matter how long it takes, believe it, and wait for it to happen. Though it may tarry, continue to wait for it, because if He has promised it, then it will surely come to pass just like He said in Habakkuk 2:3. Your job is to keep believing Him.

Yes, I know this is easier said than done, but that does not change the principle of faith. We have to do it. Believing God is faith done on purpose. Read that again. It’s trusting Him in spite of what it looks like or how long it takes for that dream, vision, purpose, destiny, or whatever you’re waiting on God for to come to pass. Psalm 37:5 says, “Commit thy way unto the Lord, and he shall bring it to pass.” Meaning, pray, and give your plans to the Lord, and He will make it happen. I believe that when we do it this way, it will all come out right!

Another key element of faith is found in Psalm 37:4 which says, “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” The point here is that we have to take delight in the Lord first. This means adoring Him genuinely and sincerely. Spending that precious time basking in His presence, in His Word, and in prayer. Serving Him faithfully and delightfully wherever we are, while doing His revealed will. And then He will give us the desires of our heart. It all works together.

*This is faith in action. Remember, faith without works is dead (James 2:26).

I want to pause here and ask you a question. Do you have a dream board or faith board? Meaning, do you have some inspiration around you daily? From experience, I will tell you that it helps to have this in your presence. For instance, I have a T-shirt that reads, “iBelieve the Unbelievable & Receive the Impossible.” I also have a plaque on my desk that reads, “With God…all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)

Both of these items have truly encouraged me as I waited on the promises of God to be fulfilled in my life. I say, all of this to say, that I have spiritual inspiration around me all the time. It’s in my home office, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, car, walls, etc. The Lord will even use people in my life to speak a word of encouragement in due season, as well as use tests and trials to prepare me for His promises. But most importantly, I am hiding His Word in my heart that I might not sin against Him (Psalm 119:11) and to encourage myself through it. All of these things are working together for my good, and helping me to stay in the position and attitude of faith.

I know this probably makes the devil mad, but that’s just too bad. I am believing God. And I pray that you’ll do the same. Ephesians 6:16 says, “In every battle, you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan.” And let’s not ever forget about our sword, which is the Word of God. This definitely increases our faith and stops the devil in his tracks. Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” So hide that word in your heart sis, and speak it over your situation!

Listen. We all wait on God for something. You know what you’re waiting on, and I know what I’m waiting for. But no matter how long we wait, or how hard it becomes (because it does get hard sometimes), we have to keep believing that God is working out His best plan for us and that He will bring whatever we’re waiting for to pass one day.

So, don’t ever give up on your “One Day.” Don’t ever stop believing God. And wake up with faith…not doubt! Keep trusting Him, prepare yourself in-between time, and remain hopeful. And remember what Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” You might not be able to see it yet, but keep in mind that we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Remember that Jesus is coming back soon! And those who endure unto the end shall be saved. So let’s be ready from the Inside Out.
