I’m just going to jump right into this one! Do you have work to do today? Is there a project or God-ordained assignment that you know in your heart that needs to get done? Is there something that you really want to start or begin working on? If so, it’s time to focus on the task at hand, sis.

I just went to a Christian women’s blogging conference called, Declare, and it was really awesome! In that conference, I got a ton of helpful nuggets on how to be a better blogger for my audience (you), as well as how to reach more women with the message God has given me to share. With all of that information, guess what? I now need to focus on the task at hand to become better at what I do. So today, that’s what I’m going to do! How about you?

Getting things done is going to take focus and prioritizing our To-Do-Lists and plan. A few years ago, I created a motto that helps me when I have things to do and you’re very welcome to use it. I say to myself, “Nothing happens until you start moving.” It’s true. It’s just like a parked car. Unless you make a choice to put the key in the ignition, and begin driving off towards your destination, you won’t get there. You have to move.

So the next time you're laying in bed dreading getting up to take on the day, speak these words to yourself, "Nothing happens until you start moving." Trust me. You'll be amazed at how your morning moves after that! Try it.

Now, let's look at it from a biblical perspective in James 2:14-26, “…Faith without works is dead.” Faith alone or believing in something is not enough by itself. We have to put our faith into action. That’s how things get done, my sister.

It’s the same way with God’s word. We can go to church, women’s conferences, read great Christian blogs, get some life-changing godly advice from our mentors, and even get a good word from our personal devotional time, but guess what, sis? Unless we actually apply what we’ve learned, that information will just sit there and no change or progress will be made. I’m reminded of what James 1:22 says, “But be ye doers of the word, not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”

So don’t just hear a good word, message, Bible passage, advice, or loaded information from a conference speaker or great YouTube video. Instead, do something with what you’ve heard, read, or learned. The point here is to focus on doing what’s being asked or required of you…now. But not only that, it’s also a great idea to hone in on something that you would like to do, too! Balance it all out.

Application is vital to seeing growth in your personal life, as well as success in your business or ministry. Prayer, active movement with the wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit, and a plan to get what needs to get done accomplished, will do wonders for you and others who will benefit from what you're doing. But you’ve got to get started.

Productivity and seeing the fruit from the task or assignment you’re working on will take focus and movement. Proverbs 20:4 says, “Those too lazy to plow in the right season will have no food at the harvest.” So don’t be slothful, sis. Be ready for the harvest. It’s time to focus on the task at hand and get moving!

With that being said, here is the question of the week. What do you need or want to get started on or done today or this week? Let me know. I can’t wait to hear from you, so that I can stand in prayer with you to get it accomplished.

Remember, Jesus is coming back soon! And those who endure unto the end shall be saved. So let’s be ready from the Inside Out!
