I’m going start this post with a question. Has God given you a vision to do something? It could be something He’s shown or revealed to you in the past or recently. If so, what is that vision? Think about it. Ponder it. And trust Him to lead you step by step on how to fulfill it. He’s faithful to do so.

I want to add here that God will never give you a vision without showing you what to do. Yet, because we don’t have angels suddenly appearing telling us exactly what to do as in the Old Testament (that would be so much easier), we have to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading and promptings. This means that we need to pray and ask, be still before Him to listen for direction, trust Him to provide what we need, and be in His Word. I have to say that it’s truly amazing how God can reveal what to do right from a simple Bible verse.

He also sends messengers through everyday people such as your spouse, mentors, leaders, friends, co-laborers, and even strangers. Of course, through either of these vessels, use discernment. Because sometimes we want to hear what we want to hear, but also, as humans, people can make mistakes and can give misguided advice. So again, when you get direction from others, make sure that you pray as they speak into your life, all for the sole purpose that it’s coming from the Lord and not from human thinking or wisdom. Remember, we are led by His Spirit.

Also, I would encourage you to write down what God has shown you. Don’t leave it to your thoughts and think you’ll remember everything. In Habakkuk 2:2, the Lord told him to, “Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he may run that readeth it.” So, take time to write it down. This method will also help motivate you along the way.

In addition, do what the Lord is telling you to do. There are several biblical examples of how important it is for us to know God’s vision and follow it. Jeremiah is one of them.

The Lord told Jeremiah when He called him to be a prophetic voice in his day, “Look, Jeremiah! What do you see? And I replied, “I see a branch from an almond tree.” And the Lord said, “That’s right, and it means that I am watching, and I will certainly carry out all of my plans.” (Jeremiah 1:11-12) This was a moment when God was showing Jeremiah what He was calling him to do.

The Bible also reveals to us that after God showed Jeremiah the vision, he then needed to follow His plan. In Jeremiah 1:17, the Lord told him, “Get up and prepare for action. Go out and tell them everything I tell you to say. Do not be afraid of them, or I will make you look foolish in front of them.” (This is a good one for speakers – this one helps me personally)

These passages of Scripture are good examples for us today, sis. Because once God gives us a vision, He will carry out His plans! And He uses ordinary people to fulfill them like you and me and Jeremiah.

So, do you see the point here? If you read this whole chapter, you’ll see God’s vision, Jeremiah’s purpose, and instruction given. The next steps were for him to follow. Here’s the thing…he needed to get up, prepare, go, speak, and not be afraid of them. God was sending him forth.

NOTE:This was sooooo not as easy assignment. Nevertheless, Jeremiah obeyed God and fulfilled His very purpose on this earth.

In a nutshell, following God’s vision not only benefits others, but it’s also fulfilling to know that we’ve carried out what the Lord has called us to do. I would also add that it’s a privilege and an honor to be called and used of God.

So again, what has God been showing you, sis? Has He shown you a vision? It could be a vision for your spiritual growth, your family, finances, fitness goals, business, or life calling. You and God know what it is.

And guess what? It can be a variety of things. But whatever it is or they are, write it (or them) down. Be intentional. And make sure that you follow God’s instruction every step of the way. Remember, it’s His vision, and everything that He is showing you will come to pass. Your job is to follow.

Also remember, Jesus is coming back soon! And those who endure unto the end shall be saved. So let’s be ready from the Inside Out!
