The Road to Salvation…
If you’re here, then it means that you want to know more about how to be saved or you know someone who might need to recite this personal prayer. If you’re about to accept Christ for the very first time in your life, I want to say that I am so excited that you have decided to give your life to Jesus Christ today! It’s by far the best decision that you could make in your life! Just know that Jesus loves you and He wants the best for you. He proved His love by laying down His life for you and dying for your sins on a cross over 2,000 years ago. And now God is calling you to come to Him by accepting His Son Jesus Christ into your heart and life today. So without further delay, let’s get ready to recite the sinner’s prayer. Read this prayer aloud with all your heart and you will be saved. Here goes…
*Father God in the name of Jesus, I come to you confessing and admitting to you that I am a sinner. You said in your word that if I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that you raised him from the dead, that I would be saved. Lord, I confess that Jesus is Lord, and that he died for me and I believe that you raised him from the dead, that I would be saved. I repent of my sins and please forgive me for all of my sins today. Please wash me clean. I choose to live for you all the days of my life. Thank you for your love and for saving me, in Jesus name, Amen.
If you have recited this prayer with all of your heart, then you are saved! Welcome to the Christian family! The angels are rejoicing in heaven right now! Again, this is the best decision you have made today and for your life!
The next step is to understand that you are now a born again believer! Second Corinthians 5:17 tells us, “What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!” (NLT) That means you are new person! You can start afresh with your life! Today is a new day. Choose to live it well!
So from this point, I encourage you to continue praying to God, reading your Bible, and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you throughout your life. And then pray and ask God to lead you to a Bible-believing church home where you can grow with other believers. This part is so important.
Also, sign up to become baptized. Baptism is an outward show of what has already taken place in your heart. It’s a pretty awesome experience!
Well, that’s it! I pray that Jesus continues to be Lord over your life and that you keep the faith no matter what. And remember, Jesus Christ is coming back soon! So be ready from the inside out!

Hi Taylor. I pray that this reply finds you well sis. I think it’s awesome that you gave your life to the Lord last year! Praise God! I want to encourage you to know that He knows exactly where you are and He can use your deliverance from your past behavior as a testimony to help others. I will indeed pray for your journey. And know that God will NEVER leave you nor forsake you. Instead, He’s right there ready to help you in any given situation. Just cry out to Him and tell Him right where you are, because our walk with the Lord has a lot to do with our relationship with Him. That’s what He desires most. And from there, He directs us into our callings. So hold onto the fact that He will be with you and for you. Just continue to read your word and keep the lines of communication open with Him. Okay. I hope this helps you sis. Keep growing. He’s got you!
Love,
Your Sister in Christ…Courtnaye
