I feel compelled to write this today, because I know that there are many people globally, who are patiently waiting on the promises of God to be fulfilled in their lives. Might I add that I’m one of them too? Yep. So I’m very aware that waiting can sometimes be a hard thing. You can get a little fatigued, hard-pressed, frustrated, anxious, upset, and the list can literally go on, right? If we’re honest with one another, it’s not an easy thing to do. Sometimes you can get to a point where you have been waiting and waiting, and trusting God, but He still hasn’t moved yet. You might feel like, “Father, have you forsaken me down here, because the wait is taking a little longer than what I would’ve expected.” You might even begin to feel like what’s the use! Whatever the case, I want to encourage you today by telling you to keep pressing beyond how you feel. And whatever you do, DON'T QUIT, because God has not forgotten you. You just have to press a little longer and wait until your breakthrough comes.

Again, I know that sometimes the waiting process can be tough, but when it gets rough, this is a time when you must fight with everything within you to trust and believe God for His best, no matter what. That’s right…trust and believe. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes, fear the Lord and depart from evil." What this means is...depend on Him with all your heart and believe that He will direct your steps day by day and moment by moment. Believe that He's working out all the details. Furthermore, don’t try to figure things out and start trying to do something on your own. I’ve been there too. Learn from me. It’s not fun, having to back-track. However, sometimes God allows those mistakes to train us in His own creative way to keep trusting in His plan vs. our own.

I’m reminded of the story of Abraham and Sarah (See Genesis 15-18 & 21). God had promised them a son that would bring forth descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky. The only thing was, initially the Lord had kept Sarah from having any children. To her, this seemed impossible! So instead of waiting, she conjured up her own plan to have her servant, Hagar marry her husband and sleep with him to bring forth the promise. Well, if you read the above passages of Scripture, you would know that her plan didn't work and caused all kinds of problems. However, God corrected it, because of His amazing faithfulness, and He still brought forth the promised child in His due time. Sarah was 99 and Abraham was 100 when their promised son Isaac was born. And even that was a miracle because of their old age. BUT IT HAPPENED! Amen!

All of this to say, Abraham believed God. He took Him at His word. And because of that, God declared him righteous because of his faith. Abraham knew without a shadow of a doubt that God was going to do it, somehow, some way. He kept trusting and believing the Lord in spite of what it looked like to the natural eye. And that’s the same thing He wants us to do. He wants us to walk by faith, and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). If He promised it, then it will come to pass. Even if it looks impossible, guess what? It's not impossible for Him! His Word says so, in Luke 1:37, "For with God nothing shall be impossible." So you see, our job is to wait with great hope and expectancy and believe that He will bring forth the promises in our lives no matter how long it takes.

I encourage you today my sister, as I encourage myself in the Lord to not give up on the things that God has promised. It’s coming! I believe it! Habakkuk 2:3-4 says, “But these things, I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.” There you have it! Encourage yourself through reading and meditating upon the Word, consistent prayer, doing what you know to do, and singing praise and worship songs unto the Lord while you wait. Sometimes God will even send people along the way to help build you up in the faith (like today). Some of you know exactly what I'm talking about.

And even if you've messed up here or there (like Sarah did at first), make sure that you quickly make it right with God (repent), and ask His forgiveness and mercy for doubting Him. He's faithful to get you back on the right track. Just remember from this point on, to continue holding on, keeping the faith, sowing good seed, laboring for others, and trusting God. Yes, you might get tired sometimes again, but remember that when you do, quote this Scripture, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season, we shall reap, if we faint not” (Galations 6:9). HOLD ON sis! And don’t ever give up, because your harvest is coming! Just wait and see…(and I want to hear about it when it comes...leave a comment.) Love ya!

Remember, Jesus is coming back soon! And those who endure unto the end shall be saved. So let’s get ready from the Inside Out!
