Have you ever been in a position in your life, when you just couldn’t figure out what was happening? It’s that place where you just can’t put your finger on what was going on? It’s a time when you just don’t understand what God is doing. Well, if you haven’t been there yet, hold on, because at some point in your life, you’ll get there. But for some of you who are there right now….let’s talk about it.

No doubt, this is a tough place to be. Sometimes it’s a dry place or a place of uncertainty. Other times it’s a scary place. And sometimes it’s a place of simply…waiting. Yet, wherever the place you find yourself, the key is knowing that God IS with you…even when you don’t understand what He is doing. He’s just working things out behind the scenes.

You might not be able to see it or feel it. It may even frustrate or anger you, because you just can’t figure Him out like in the story of Job (in the Bible). But guess what? Whatever it is, it’s going to work out for your good in the end as Romans 8:28 says. Even if it doesn’t look that way in the beginning…or the middle. Just trust Him.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” This is a very popular verse in the Bible. And many people know it. BUT…it’s most effective when it’s BELIEVED and APPLIED.

The keyword is “TRUST.” It’s soooooo much about trusting God. I know from experience that this verse is very powerful when activated. I remember having to undergo surgery one time to have all four of my wisdom teeth pulled, and I was a little apprehensive. But as I was going under, I just kept saying, “Lord, I trust you.” And I’ll do the same this week when I go in for my hysterectomy.

I have a T-shirt that reads, “Relax, God is in Control.” I LOVE IT! I’m actually wearing it as I write this post! Whenever I wear this shirt, God reminds me that He is in total control. Whether I’m folding it up or passing a mirror at the time when I have it on, He supernaturally reminds me that He’s got me. And He’s got you too! Isn’t He amazing?!

When we trust God in uncertain, fearful, dry, waiting times, or when we don’t understand what He’s up to concerning the present or future, it pleases the Lord’s heart. But I have to say that without it, we displease Him. It shows that we have a lack of faith, as if He doesn’t know what He’s doing. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: but he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

So I want to encourage you to realize that He IS God and that He has everything under control. Just continue to seek Him earnestly, while keeping the faith… even when you don’t understand what He’s doing. Don’t get angry with Him. Don’t stop believing. Don’t lose hope. Don’t turn back. And don’t stop doing well. I have to tell myself the same things sometimes. God reassures us in His word, “So don’t get discouraged and give up, for we will reap a harvest of blessing at the appropriate time.”

The harvest is coming! Breakthrough is coming! Believe that God will complete the work that He has begun in you until the day of Jesus Christ (See Philippians 1:6). No matter what you do, just don’t give up. Because He IS going to reward you for your diligence and faithfulness. He’s got a plan…even when you don’t understand what He’s doing.

Be encouraged my sister! I am!

Remember, Jesus is coming back soon! And those who endure unto the end shall be saved. So let’s be ready from the Inside Out!
