Do you have a group of women who you can share life with and grow with along the way in your Christian journey? Do you surround yourself with women who will encourage you, inspire you, listen to you, and hold you accountable when you’re doing something that you know deep down, you shouldn’t be thinking about or acting upon? Do you have an inner circle, and if so, who’s in it?

Before I go deeper into this post, I want to remind you that Jesus had an inner circle. They were His 12 disciples. He shared things with them and opened up to them with things that He wouldn’t share with everyone else. Mark 4:34 confirms this by saying, “In fact, in his public ministry he never taught without using parables; but afterward, when he was alone with his disciples, he explained everything to them.” (NLT)

It’s the same way in government, businesses, ministries, and now, mastermind groups. It could be the same way for you if you’re a woman in business, entrepreneur, ministry leader, or a woman who just loves the Lord and simply needs a group of women who will love her and hold her accountable in this Christian life.

Personally, as a woman in ministry, I have an inner circle. But guess what? Not everyone knows each other, yet they make up a whole in my life. My inner circle consists of a variety of women who I can count on at any given moment. It’s my mother, my baby sister, my mentor, my girlfriend from college, and a few of my sister friends whom God has placed in my life to walk through this life together with me. We are there for each other, whenever we need to be. They are my inner circle.

And I LOVE each and every one of them! And let me tell you, sister! They tell me about myself! Ha! Yep.

Yet, even though they speak the hard truth in love to me when I need it most, they are also there for me when I need to have a hard cry, or just laugh or have fun together, to share a good Word in due season, and to pray for me right when I need it. But they’re also there to listen, encourage, and support me with all of my many ministry passions and ideas. And I am there for them, as well. They just rock!

The Bible tells us in Galatians 6:2, “Share each other’s burdens and in this way obey the law of Christ.” And 1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, “So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.”

So again? Who’s in your inner circle? Whoever they are, love on them, tell them that you really appreciate them, and cherish them always, simply because we need them (Hey, and they need us, too)! Amen!

Remember, Jesus is coming back soon! And those who endure unto the end shall be saved. So let’s be ready from the Inside Out!
